3. The Appointment
When the appointment at the immigration office is coming up, we will designate a personal agent that will escort the client to the appointment, and help out with translation and paperwork. The appointment takes around 1-2 hours, and this is where they do the registration, take the photo, and print the permanent residency id card. We will also make sure that the client gets the CURP identification number, with the official government certificate proving the permanent residency status.

4. Timeframe & Maintenance
The processing time from arrival to finish is around 3 weeks, and after everything is done, there’s no minimum requirement to stay in Mexico to maintain the permanent residency status. Once you have it, it’s for life.

PARAGUAY TAX RESIDENCY

Since October 2022, Paraguay doesn’t issue permanent residency status directly to anyone, so the client needs to register for temporary residency first, and keep this for 2 years before transitioning into permanent residency status. The good news is that temporary residency status gives equal rights and benefits as permanent residency status during these 2 years.

We offer a complete package where the client receives both temporary and permanent residency status automatically, so everything is done in 2 visits, one initially when the first registration is done, and the second one when the permanent residency status is issued after 2 years.
